I started writing way back in the last century. On something called a typewriter. (Google it.) And I kept writing. When the words had accumulated into a sufficiently tall heap, I began submitting manuscripts to publishers. Eventually (translation: a bizillion rejections later), I had some children's books published, then a few more children's books, then some novels.* Now I'm working on more novels. And some short stories.
